Comparisons

How Numeo compares

Numeo gets compared against three different kinds of product, and which comparison matters depends on what you already run.

Load boards

Against DAT and Truckstop, Numeo is an automation layer rather than a replacement — carriers keep the subscription.

Traditional TMS

Against Alvys, Rose Rocket, McLeod or Truckbase, Numeo One is AI-native and priced per truck rather than per seat.

AI-native tools

Against TMS.ai or LoadStop, the difference is that Numeo layers onto an existing stack instead of requiring a migration.

When Numeo isn't the right fit

  • You need a broker-side or 3PL system of record. Numeo is built carrier-side. Rose Rocket and Alvys both serve brokers and 3PLs natively; Numeo does not.
  • You are running 100+ trucks on deep accounting and EDI. Published Numeo One tiers cover a 10–100 truck range. Above that the answer is a custom plan, and an incumbent like McLeod may still be the better system of record.
  • You want one vendor to replace everything. Numeo is designed to run alongside DAT, Truckstop and an existing TMS. If consolidating onto a single platform is the goal, a full TMS replacement fits better.
  • No. Numeo is designed to run on top of whatever you already use — Spot works inside DAT and Truckstop, and Load Hub searches your existing broker accounts. Numeo One is available if you want an AI-native TMS as well, but adopting it is a separate decision from using the dispatch layer.

  • Numeo One is priced per truck — $10/truck/mo on Basic and $15/truck/mo on Pro, roughly 30% less on annual billing — so a 20-truck fleet runs $200/mo on Basic. Most traditional TMS platforms price per seat and do not publish rates, so the honest comparison is per-truck versus a quote you have to request.

  • A load board is where freight is posted. Numeo is the layer that works the board for you: it searches 15+ sources at once, ranks loads by what they are actually worth for your truck after deadhead, and drafts the broker email. It does not replace a DAT or Truckstop subscription.

  • Yes. Numeo Spot is a free Chrome extension with no sales process — install it and it appears inside DAT and Truckstop. Paid tiers and Numeo One pricing are published on the pricing page.
